Adventurous waterfall elopement in Costa Rica
Laura and Matthew waterfall elopement in Costa Rica by Nauyaca Waterfall/ Catartas Nauyaca San Isidro PZ, Provincia de Puntarenas
They came from Boston to Costa Rica to elope in one of the most beautiful places. Wished for a unique, adventurous wedding venue in Costa Rica. Decided to get married surrounded by Costa Rican nature. They chose Nauyaca Waterfall.
After a fun truck ride for about half hour and an easy 100 meters hike down they got to the most wonderful venue! Adventure begun with river crossing which was pretty rough but totally worth it! Together with their officiant, wedding photographer and the video team they crossed the river and had their ceremony set with the waterfall backdrop. It was stunning.
How to get to Nauyaca Waterfall?
You can visit the Nauyaca Wateralls from Manuel Antonio, Dominical, Uvita and Ojochal. From Manuel Antonio, it is about a 45 minute drive. From Uvita, it is about 25 minutes. The best way to get there is via car, it is very complicated to get there via bus. You can choose to hike to the falls, horseback riding or get a ride. The hiking tour takes 1-1.5 hours. Watch our for mud and horse poop along the way. Make sure to pack water and snacks!
Truck Riding Tour
You can pay $25 and get the falls in a pick-up truck if you are not inclined to hike or take a horse. It’s the fastest and easiest route to the falls.
